Amazon Prime Day is fast approaching and if you’re looking to update your home without breaking the bank this is the shopping event you need.
Shoppers can expect massive savings on home, furniture and garden items in the annual sale event that kicks off at noon on 16 July.
To claim the discounts you’ll need to be a member of Amazon Prime, which costs £79 for a whole year’s access to music, TV shows, films, and of course free delivery.
However you can cheat the system this Prime Day, by signing up for a free 30 day trial – just make sure to cancel before the month is up, otherwise you’ll have to pay the full £79 fee.

Amazon Prime offers a plethora of services from same-day delivery to unlimited music, TV and films streaming, all for a set monthly fee.
The cost of an annual membership is £79 – either paid upfront with a one-off charge or by a £7.99 monthly fee which can be canceled at any time.
Shoppers can sign up to a 30-day free trial to take advantage of Prime perks, but must remember to set a reminder to cancel before the subscription ends – or risk being charged the full £79 annual fee.
During sale events Prime customers can enjoy 30-minutes exclusive early access to all Lightning Deals, so if you’re wanting to snap up some bargains before anyone else, getting a Prime account is a good idea.

New deals start throughout the day over 36 hours, but only while stocks last. So catch them while you can.
Amazon advise Prime customers to do the following to snap up some of the great deals:
- Download the Amazon app to watch and shop deals on the go.
- Get online early and add items to your basket before noon on 16 July when Prime Day starts.
- Get the Amazon Assistant tool that can be installed to your Chrome browser. It allows you to compare prices, get deal notifications, and create wishlists.
Preview deals before they go live and ‘watch’ them to get notified when they become available.

I’m not a Prime member, can I get involved for free?
Prime Day is exclusively for Amazon Prime members . If you’re not yet a member, Amazon has announced that you can take advantage of the deals through their Amazon Prime 30-day free trial alternatively bargain-hunters can sign up for a monthly fee of £7.99 or £79 for an entire year.
