Sainsbury’s launch posh new cocktail range – but everything costs under £8.50

Making cocktails at home usually consists of pouring ourselves half a glass of gin paired with a little bit of flat Sainsbury’s own tonic water we had hanging about. Maybe some ice and lemon if we’re feeling fancy.

But in an attempt to amp up the home cocktail making game, Sainsbury’s have launched an intriguing new range of liqueurs and alcohol flavourings that take inspiration from fancy bars.

And the luxury new cocktail range won’t set you back as much as you think, with everything coming in between £5 and £8.50 – that’s cheaper than a drink in some places!

The range of cocktail ingredients has been produced exclusively for Sainsbury’s by Gabriel Boudier, which was founded in 1874, and is well-known for creating exceptional products that delight enthusiasts of crème de fruits and liqueurs.

There’s only eight new products included in the range, which has already been spotted both in stores, and online, across the UK.

Plenty of liqueurs features, such as elderflower, coffee, hazelnut and raspberry liqueurs, which vary in price from £6.50 to £8.50, as well as some tasty sounding crèmes (we told you it was fancy).

As well as a Crème de Cassis for £7, there’s also a Crème de Peches for £8, as well as aromatic bitters ( £5 ) and Triple Sec, also £8.

Louise Lynch, Product Developer for Beers, Wines & Spirits at Sainsbury’s said: “This range is all about customers reclaiming the cocktail hour in the pleasure of their own home.
