Liz Truss has admitted she should have “laid the ground better” after the markets panicked following her emergency tax cut measures last week.
The Prime Minister vowed to stick by her ambitious plan for growth but said she appreciated mistakes had been made.
“We should have laid the ground better and I have learnt from that,” she told the BBC this morning.
“In future I will make sure we do a better job at laying the ground.”
